My Ordinary Life

My rate for this restaurant is from one to five, hmm, let’s say, six?

Thanks to Ira who brought me there. I am totally in love with the place. It has very soothing ambience, excellent service (that was the first time I went to a Chinese restaurant where all waiters can speak English fluently), and very delicious food!

Again, this is another vegetarian restaurant that serves mock meat (and fish). I am not a fish fan (especially its smell..yuck..) but I am not against on eating fish. Since I’d already planned to try one of their daily lunch set (which costs $10.50), unfortunately, from three friday’s sets, none of them actually interested me. The first (L1) is thai style curry and I don’t think it is the right way of eating Thai in Chinese restaurant. The second (L2) and third (L3) on the list are deep fried vegetarian codfish with malaysian style bean paste and Bai Ye Tofu with mushrooms and chinese cabbage. So, Tofu or Codfish? I dislike tofu more than fish, so I decided to take the codfish one.

And wow, I wouldn’t think I would love the lunch set this much. As a non-fish lover, I found the fried fish was really good and tasted very much like the fish itself. I repeatedly asked Ira whether she was sure that this restaurant doesn’t serve any fish or meat because it tasted so real. And I went really sad when I got my last bite because I wanted more! Hahaha.

Ira, on the other hand, tried (B4) noodle with minced dried bean curd sauce and bean sprout, cucumber, carrot served with soup ($9.5). It looked really nice but I don’t think it beats my dish.

And another thing that you should try when you go to this restaurant is their Kumquat tea which is believed to be good for dry throat. Well, let’s say, it worked for my cough for that day only… But apart from that, it tasted really nice if you like sweet tea.
